Whether your family is new to the North Syracuse area or you have had children in our schools before, it is important to register with us so that we may provide the appropriate number of staff to meet the needs of all our students. If you are registering for the Universal Pre-Kindergarten program for your four-year-old child, please see the additional information at the bottom of this page. Please have the following documents readily available before beginning:
- Photo ID of parent or legal guardian
- Proof of birth for each child being registered. This can be a birth certificate, passport, or immigration document.
- Proof of residency in parent/legal guardian’s name with a current date. This can be a utility bill, lease/rent agreement, or mortgage statement. Contact the registrar if you do not have one of these forms of residency.
- Copy of the most recent physical and immunization records
- Copy of IEP/504 if applicable
- Custody or foster care documents if applicable

Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) The North Syracuse Central School District provides a free preschool program to children who live in the North Syracuse Central School District and are four-years-old on or before December 1.
Due to capacity limits, all applications submitted during the lottery window are entered into a random lottery. Admission is not based on a first-come, first-served basis.
The lottery window for the 2025–2026 school year has closed. However, limited spots may still be available. Once registration is finalized, the UPK office will contact you to discuss available locations and/or whether your child will be placed on the waitlist.
