Whether your family is new to the North Syracuse area or you have had children in our schools before, it is important to register with us so that we may provide the appropriate number of staff to meet the needs of all our students.
Please have the following documents readily available before beginning:
- Photo ID of parent or legal guardian
- Proof of birth for each child being registered. This can be a birth certificate, passport, or immigration document.
- Proof of residency in parent/legal guardian’s name with a current date. This can be a utility bill, lease/rent agreement, or mortgage statement. Contact the registrar if you do not have one of these forms of residency.
- Copy of the most recent physical and immunization records
- Copy of IEP/504 if applicable
- Custody or foster care documents if applicable

Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) The North Syracuse Central School District provides a free preschool program to children who live in the North Syracuse Central School District and are four-years-old on or before December 1. Due to capacity constraints, we utilize a random lottery system for all applicants. Acceptance into the program is NOT on a first come, first served basis. Online registration is available January 6 – February 7 for the 2025-2026 school year. Registrations prior to January 6 will not be accepted. UPK registrations received after February 7 will be waitlisted. Due to the limited number of spots available, NSCSD cannot guarantee every child is placed. Please have the following documents readily available before beginning:
